Our Elders

Steve Allen

I was born on October 7, 1955, to James Lee and Jean Allen. I am a lifelong resident of Lewisburg and Marshall County. I enjoy music, genealogy, and reading.

I have been married to Pam Roberts Allen since June of 1975. We have one child, Megan Allen Townes (Daniel), and one grandchild, Holland Townes. I have worked for my wife’s family since 1986 in many different capacities. I currently work managing the family property, along with some other family members.

I was baptized in October of 1977. It has been my privilege to serve as a deacon from 2010 to 2018 and as an elder for the Church St congregation since then. As I work with the other elders, deacons, ministers, and staff of the congregation, I pray for the strength and unity of the congregation as we strive to glorify our God through Jesus Christ.

Tony White

I was born on July 15, 1948, to Melvin and Zelma White in College Grove, Tennessee. In 1968, I married Diane Marable. We are blessed with one wonderful daughter, Jennifer Lee (Andy) Miller, and have been fortunate to have several beloved nieces and nephews in our lives.

I have experience working as a dairy farmer and managing my family’s farm, as well as at White’s Dairy Supply alongside my parents. These days, I enjoy running a moderately sized beef operation and taking care of a lovely registered Hereford herd. I’ve also been a dedicated member of various community and civic organizations for many years. I truly believe in the importance of encouraging family and community involvement.

I graduated from Tennessee Tech University in 1971 with a B.S. in Animal Science. My wife and I enjoyed living in Williamson County for 39 years before moving to Marshall County in 2007. I’ve had the privilege of serving as a deacon and then elder at the Southern Hills Church of Christ in Franklin, Tennessee, and I also served as an elder at Scribners Mill Church of Christ. Currently, I am grateful to serve with the wonderful congregation at Church Street. I’ve always been genuinely passionate about our youth and mission work, and my heartfelt goal is to share the Gospel’s plan of salvation wherever I go.
